Genuinely shock and saddened by the passing of Knel. He always brightened our day with his good humour, care and support.

Our deepest sympathy to Meave and family upon hearing about the untimely death of the lovely Knel. No words can offer comfort to you Meave, death is too difficult.
We are grateful to have had Knel as our cousin, I remember him playing in the back garden in Malahide when he was a child. He was a beautiful, thoughtful, good and kind person.
He is now in the loving care of Kitty and Brendan.

I had the privilege of working with Knel as part of the Lusk Action Group. He was so giving of his time and did so much work to better the community that was not in the limelight. The community is so much better for his involvement and he leaves a huge void. Knel was great fun and brightened up the most trying of activities like putting up Christmas Lights on a cold November morning in minus temperatures a bit of craic with his great sense of humour. He was above all my friend and I will miss him dearly. Rest in peace, Knel.

I went to school in Swords with Deebo. He made many a dull boring day in school with us that much better, always up for a laugh and never one to take things to seriously. He could make friends with anyone. We skipped school together sometimes and I'm glad I did, we learnt more on those days, RIP pal.

Goodbye Knel...the guy who married my best friend and had the biggest & most generous heart. I'll always remember you as a devoted Dad and husband & how kind and caring you were to those you met! I'll especially remember your "keep her lit" msg on FB while i was at mile 13 of my Dublin marathon! It made me laugh and kept me going. Thank you for being you and rest easy now.

I always loved my chance encounters with Knel around Lusk. He was such a sensitive, gentle person. That was evident, for example, when I bumped into him at Papa Gigio's one afternoon recently and I learned that he had just returned from doing voluntary work in Bangladesh. His experiences there affected him a lot. They affected him because he cared about people and their circumstances so deeply.
I'm really, really going to miss those chance encounters - such a lovely man.
