I know this pain, the shock of losing a child .
I lost mine two years ago in a RTA .

I thought I couldn’t live without my beautiful young daughter and husband who died of a sudden cancer diagnosis six months later.
Family and friends will be by your side through the toughest times.

I am so sorry that another beautiful family has to endure this terrible tragedy.
Remember that he is with Jesus, no more pain or worries that all our young children have to endure to make their way in this world.

We are truly heartbroken.

As a mother of a boy just three months older than Kofi, who had the privilege to be his teammate, this loss hits even deeper. I can only imagine the unbearable pain his family is enduring. Anytime I close my eyes, I can see his smiling face and hear his cheerful voice. His presence was full of light, and that light will never stop shining.

There is simply no way to express how deeply sorry we are for his mum, Maria, his dad, Tony, and his sisters, Faith and Esther — for the loss of their beloved son and brother, best friend, and a true role model to so many.

My deepest sympathies also go out to Kofi’s extended family, his friends, his Redeemer Celtic teammates and coaches Barry & Sticky, the pupils and staff of Coláiste Chú Chulainn, and the entire community.

The unimaginable pain we all feel has broken something inside us — yet it has also united us in our grief and love for Kofi.

We will keep Kofi’s memory alive and his words forever in our hearts:

“Don’t try to fit in when you were born to stand out.”

At just 15, Kofi touched more lives than many do in a lifetime. We have some wonderful memories of Kofi's time with us here in RBS. A pupil, a friend, a leader - Kofi was much more than just a student in our school; he was a shining example of kindness, integrity, dedication and positivity.

We pray that Kofi's family and friends receive the strength, comfort and courage that they need to face the weeks and months ahead.
