I remember the great times we (my brothers and sisters) had with my Dad George and Mother Claire when we called. Larry & Mary always had a great welcome for us. I remember Mary's jam scones. He is at rest with Mary.

Larry Keane was a Gentleman is an understatement. He was a Leader, an Officer , and a Gentleman who we all miss.

My condolences to all of you on the loss of a wonderful person. Larry was held in high regard in our house, as a friend and quizteam mate of my father and as a teacher of all of us in turn.
I remember standing on the street outside the church, equipped with a selfmade measuring instrument and a maths equation, measuring the height of the steeple. And being introduced to Walter Macken and CS Lewis and the story of Tutankhamen. Always making school interesting and enjoyable. May he rest in peace. Ní bheidh a leithidí ann arís.

Sincere sympathy to Joanne, Miriam, James, Lorna and Adrian on the sad death of their father Larry Hickey. Condolences also to his brothers Charlie and Kerry to his sister Mai, and the extended Hickey family. He was a true gentleman and many is the time I asked him for details of family descendants when I was researching my family tree. His time and information was willingly given and was exactly as I requested. He had a vast range of interests and one of them being in local history. I have a vivid memory of he calling to my home, with his daugher Joanne, and I making a return visit to his home in Meen, when we exchanged photgraphs, maps, notes and other details on a project that he was working "The Roads of County Kerry". As always, his work was exact and meticulous. May his kind and gentle soul rest in peace
