To Annette, Orla, Tina, Niall and Fin. I am so sorry to hear about Larry. I’ll always remember him with tremendous fondness as he was such a positive influence in my early career, as he was for many many others. You are all in my thoughts at this difficult time.

Annette, Fin, Niall, Tina and Orla my deepest sympathies on the passing of Larry. He was my first boss and the best boss one could ever have. I cherished my time working for him and have such fond and happy memories. May he rest in peace.

He did great work as a journalist, broadcaster, author, public relations consultant, and founder and past president of the Guild of Agricultural Journalists of Ireland. I have good memories of him singing “The Road to Abbeyfeale” from John B. Keane's play “Sive”. May he rest in peace.

His depth of knowledge and wisdom was carried lightly and imparted with great humour. He was truly a colossus of agri journalism and an example for so many. May he Rest in Peace.

Larry was much more than a great Agricultural Journalist, - he was also a classic Innovator and Motivator for Rural, Cooperative and Community Development throughout Ireland. His contribution to the development and popularity of the Farmers Journal was immense but unsung.

He was a beautiful writer and also had a wonderful broadcasting voice. I'v come across many of his early RTE contributions and remember his Sunday Miscellany pieces.
