News of Laura's sad passing brought me back to our childhood, and great memories of the Bog Band (Martinstown), and our school days, and the building of our cowhouse at home. Pad Vaughan, and the Vaughan family were central to it all. Happy times and great people. My sincere condolences to the Vaughan and Fitzgerald families. God rest her gentle soul.

I was ever so sad to hear of the passing of wonderful Laura. May I offer my deepest, heartfelt condolences to all of Laura’s children, grandchild (who she adored), extended family and wide circle of friends.

I was privileged to know her and share her company throughout the years, where she always welcomed me into her home with open arms, as she did everyone. Such a kind, wonderful, funny lady!

Limerick has lost its lady but she has left behind a beautiful ever lasting legacy and can be proud that her name, love and laughter will continue on and forever be in the hearts of her children and grandchildren.
