To the Keogh family, I am so sorry to hear of your wonderful Dad & Grandad Lar’s passing. I was so fortunate to spend a few days with Lar at Easter this year and he told me stories of his life in Carlow and then in Dublin, in later years. He was an amazing story teller and quite a character. He led a long and amazing life. May he rest in peace now with Hilda.

To all the Keogh family I’m so sorry to read of your lovely Dads passing. I use to cut his hair in Roches barbers, he was a gentleman, great craic. The conversation’s we had were always entertaining. I will remember Lar always smiling and that’s a lovely memory to have of this wonderful man. He is back now with his Hilda.

Deepest sympathies to all. Lar was a true gent a beautiful soul.

I am very sorry to hear of the death of Lar.
A 'character ' does not do him justice. He was one of the funniest men I have ever met.
However himself and Mrs Keogh [ I could never call her Hilda] were lovely people of real substance and were so good to my parents.
On the day of my brothers funeral Lar single handedly lifted the mood and somehow tempted my mum to stay in
the 'Morgue' for hours giggling with him.
A good life well lived.
