He was an old friend of our dear Dad, Frank (R.I.P. 2006). We have great memories of our weekends in Mondello and the Phoenix Park spent with the "Mooneys" and Larry's generosity to us as children back then.

So sorry to here of death of Larry and my deepest sympathy a true gentleman great race driver in under powered cars,giant killer always give 10 out of 10 and help to drivers entering Motorsport with advice and that he give me in saloons. To Eileen, Damian, Ciaran, Tara and Lorcan, I am so sorry to hear of the passing of my good friend, Larry. Please accept my deepest sympathies to you all. Larry was a great friend of mine and I always enjoyed meeting him and speaking to him for hours about motorsport and the Irish motor industry. He will be greatly missed by you all and the wide circle of friends who knew him. His life-long contribution to the Irish motor industry was huge and also his involvement in Irish motorsport.
