So sorry to hear this. Lar took me under his wing when I started with Securicor in 2002, and we ended up being work partners and friends until he retired. He’d always have a little present for my son when himself and Eileen came home from their summer holiday every year. ‘Hadn’t seen him in years, but often thought about him…Rest in peace Larry….I’ve fond memories of back in the day.

Andrea my deepest sympathy goes out to you, your dear mam Eileen and your extended family on your dear dad's passing. Eventhough I never met him in person I felt like I knew him because of the wonderful stories (both funny and and sometimes sad) you told us about him during our Past Pupil's Committee meetings. He sounded like he was a great character and a wonderful husband, father and grandfather. He's at peace now and out of pain. May he rest in Peace.

Can't say how sad we are losing our lovely Larry. I'll miss his stories and the way he made me laugh ("leave the 50c in the box" when Id use the facilities!!! Every single time and we'd still laugh)
But Izzy has lost the very best grandad there was. He was so much fun and was always teasing her and making her laugh (& roll her eyes!) She absolutely adored him and there's a great big grandad Larry shaped hole in her life, but he'll look down on her and watch over her from Heaven, where he surely is today.
We'll miss you Larry ... rest in peace.
