Offering my deepest sympathy to Lauri's family and friends from all who knew her from the Barnardos Children's Bereavement service in Buckingham street. She is remembered as a tremendously warm-hearted, wise woman, with a great sense of humour. Wishing you all comfort and peace during this very sad time for you all.

I worked alongside Lauri in Barnardos, Lwr. Buckingham St. and in Hyde Square. We had many early morning chats about gardening, flowers, sewing and family. She told me many amusing stories of life with her two young grandsons who were living with her for a time. She had such love for all her family. She was a beautiful soul and though she suffered much grief, she did not lose her sense of humour and had a twinkle in her eye when we chatted. I will always remember her with fondness.
She will be missed by all who knew her. Rest in peace Lauri.

A true gem and real character has left us. May you rest in peace Lauri; you will be sadly missed,

So sorry to hear of Laurie's passing. A genuinely lovely and sincere lady who would always have a great chat and a smile for with you when she would see you. One of life's good and warm hearted people. I know you all adored her (as much as she did adore you all too). No doubt Laurie will be watching over you all in spirit until you meet again. Lauri worked with us for a number of years- both when we were based in Rialto and in Dublin 1. We were so sorry to hear of her unexpected passing and would like to send our deepest condolences to all her family. She was a lovely lady- devoted to her family, hard working and cheerful . It was always an 'experience' meeting Lauri - entering and exiting South Terrace - like an emissary with her sharp mind and humorous, often dry observations, spoken directly with a barely disguised parting wink!

Small, thin, with a face etched from life's sorrows and joy alike - she will always be remembered as a formidable, loving human and one the 'great' matriarchs of the Works Estate.

We are all saddened in her passing but equally grateful for her strange grace and mischief. May all her children and extended family, friends and neighbours find solace in her enduring spirit.
