There are beautiful messages of sympathy and good humoured reflections all down through this page and I really enjoyed reading them. They really capture the person that Lauri was. I have great memories of the craic and banter Lauri and I had whenever we crossed paths in Swinford in the 70s and in Dublin after that. Lauri was truly a lovely person. May she rest in peace.

Many memories of Lauri as a teenager in her Doc Martens and with her lovely head of jet black hair, making her way to or from your home at the end of Park Road.

Thinking of your Dad as he worked in the surgery, and your Mam as she stood in her smart teacher attire in front of a roomful of teenage students in our local secondary school. Always kind, always such a lady.

Deepest sympathy to Pete, Davy and all the family on Lauri’s passing. I was so sorry to hear the news. I remember all the mad mad days of Team Whaleout and all the laughs. I met Lauri when she worked in the Courts Service and I was at the Law Society. She was so proud of being a Mum and was so full of life. This is hard to comprehend. Far too young.

So sorry to hear of Lauri's passing .. condolences to Pete, Davy and her son Dave. Our next door neighbour as kids growing up when you got Lauri's approval you knew you had done well. Very sharp and able to summarise a situation in a few words. She was great company and will be missed by so many people.

Deepest condolences to all who knew and loved her. Lauri was a colleague and a friend and a fountain of wisdom, kindness and sound advice. She was never too far away from a dog-eared copy of the Scientific American, or an Irish Times with the crossword completed, she'd an opinion about everything and a keen and measured sense of fairness that she was never shy about defending. I'm so happy she got to make that long awaited trip to Africa when she took retirement. We'll all miss her in the Wards of Court Office.

Lauri was such a character for us, growing up in Swinford. She rarely left you in any doubt on how she felt about something. But most of us got to discovered that her bark was so much worse than her bite.
