Pat, Colum and Saul, commiserations on your loss, she was a lovely lady, carried herself with a quiet elegance, and always had a good word and a friendly greeting.
Where have the years gone, it seems like only yesterday we were fishing for plubógs and crabs down at the Quay. Even then you were evidently very attached to your mother because as soon as she came round the corner and blew that whistle summoning you to the table, you always dropped everything and went straight home!
Hope you are all well besides, Malcolm went before his time, well we had some fun in the old days.

I haven't seen Lavinia in a long time but I remember her fondly from my time with Cantairí Chonamara. Sometimes a rehearsal could go completely off the rails and it was all messy. Then I looked at Lavinia and thought, we have to do better, we can't let her down.
Not many people have that kind of impact, simply by being there, especially not in such a quiet, unassuming, classy way!
She'll be missed.

One of the founding members of the Clifden Arts Society in 1979. A wonderful supporter of the arts always so gracious, kind, helpful, a wonderful reader. We will miss her. May she rest in peace.
