On behalf of Leila's entire family, we would like to thank you all for your condolences, prayers, kind thoughts and memories of Mum.

As we indicated in the obituary notice, once the Covid-19 restrictions have been lifted, we intend to have a service to celebrate Mum's life and give her the proper send off that she deserved. I lived in Athlone and went to Moate as a boarder. Leila taught us P.E. and dancing there. She was a joy and a ray of sunshine, and we all loved her, and never forgot her warmth and kindness. Only lately thinking of her, and what a wonderful teacher she was. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

I am very sorry to hear of Leila's death, a lovely lunch companion at Mercy College with her many family stories and of her adventures with Jacquie. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a h-anam dílis.

Leila will be missed by her many friends in the Paired Reading Group in Mercy College. She was a loyal and positive volunteer for many years.

Jacqui, I was very sad to hear about Leila. She was a wonderfully warm and kind person, a generous teacher and colleague. Keeping you all in our thoughts and prayers.
