So very sorry to hear of leila's sudden passing.What a wonderful lady she was.We became friends when i first met her while i was working in superquinn many moons ago. We also did a course in the library last year where we had many a good laugh.may she find eternal rest.Thinking of you all at this very sad time.may the light of heaven shine brightly on your gentle and kind soul leila.xx lots of love jackie.

What sad news of Lelia's far too sudden passing. Many a Saturday evening I shared a seat with her at Ballycane Church, We always had banter and, often on a summer's evening, plenty of chat. She was a vivacious and talented person - her paintings were outstanding - and while deeply involved in the life of the Sallins Road was never far away from mentioning her native Offaly and Tullamore in particular. Only last summer she gave a history project to read that had been researched by Pat's daughter in Tullamore. She was so proud of it all. Ballycane on Saturday evenings will never be the same. May she rest i n peace.

My utmost condolences on the death of Leila and I am so sorry that I am only now hearing the news and did not make the funeral. Your mum was a lady and so kind to me years ago when I visited her home. She fed me and saved me Christmas dinner when I was working away from my family and missing them. She will always be remembered in my home as I have a beautiful painting she did for me when I moved into my first house. May she rest in peace.

Dear Mary, I was so sad to hear of your mum's untimely passing. I can recall meeting your mum back in the days of the folk group and remember her warm welcome and great sense of humour which radiated through your home. May she rest in peace.
