Sincere sympathy to all Leo’s family on his sad passing. My longest memory of Leo was at schoolboy under age hurling, when I was hoping to be capped by Barndarrig. One day a rumour spread like wildfire, that there was an emerging young hurler in Newbawn who had all the skills ! Try as they might, Barndarrig failed to sign this sporting prodigy. Barndarrig’s loss became Avondale’s gain.

Very sorry to hear this sad news. Leo was a gentleman. I have very fond memories of him in Farrers garage.
