Sincere condolences on the sad passing of Leo. My late father Tomas/Tom Coffey (Howth Summit) was a friend of Leo’s from his youth, and always held him in such high regard. I grew up listening to stories of their adventures. His friendship was always valued as a true and loyal friend. May he rest in peace.

I remember Leo from when he and Doreen (Dodo) used to mind Mark and Danny. They were the loveliest couple and the boys were blessed to have had such lovely, kind, warm people in their lives. I’m so saddened to hear the news and am thinking of all Leo’s family at this time.

I am heartbroken to see this. Leo was a huge part of my childhood growing up on Ceanchor Road. He used to bring me on his rounds and to visit his mother. He built me a den in the garden. It has been wonderful to see him through the years and he has never changed, always smiling and interested in how my brothers and sister were doing. I was very upset when he married Doreen as I wanted him to marry me when I grew up - I was 4 or 5 at the time! My deepest sympathy to Doreen and the family, may he rest in peace.
