I was sad to read about Leo.
As a member of Waterford Boat club in late 70s/80 and 1st female crew to row and compete Leo was always kind and helpful in his advice to us. Leo was a true gentleman . It was lovely to see him and Marie out walking together in later years. My condolances to Marie to Harry and Mary and his grandchildren.

I am so sad to read this. Leo was an absolute gentleman. I had great fun on Sunday mornings when I would serve Leo tea and biscuits from my fine bone china in the Boat House Bar. Really, really happy memories. Leo dedicated most of his life to creating amazing opportunities for anyone interested in rowing. What a legacy he leaves behind for those now rowing with The Boat Club, and no doubt, for generations to follow. My deepest condolences to all his family, friends and colleagues.
