Leo O'Donoghue

I remember when my son started first year at John Bosco Secondary School, he was not a happy camper. One night a month into it, I asked him was there anything at all he liked about it. Through the tears and in the midst of the pile of copies his response was " The only thing I like is Leo"
There was never anyone like Leo, the kids adored him.

I just heard today, Jan 5th, of Leo's very sad passing.RIP. I extend my deepest sympathy to Rose and to Leo's immediate and extended family as you mourn his untimely passing.
Leo graduated from our General and Rural Science Teacher Training Course, Cork, in June 1978 and returned as Deputy Head of the course one year later....a truly remarkable achievement and an acknowledgement of his undoubted abiliy and capability.He tutored my class group in our final year of training ('79 / '80) and I retain fond memories of his commitment and friendship.

Many a chat/advice clinic was held out the side of the Engineering room - during and after school!
