Leonard Sheridan

My sincere condolences to Leonard’s Family. I knew him as Mr Sheridan when I attended Glenties Comprehensive School back in the 1970s and while I didn’t study music as an exam subject I remember the “music appreciation” classes with great fondness and much of what we heard there has stayed with me. May he rest in peace.

I offer my condolences to the family and friends on the death of the talented, engaging and most courteous Lenny.
He was such a lovely gentleman to work with. He was so helpful and welcoming when I joined the staff. I have very fond memories of him and
I will especially remember him for that lovely Mayo charm and smile.

I am sorry that I have been advised of Lenny’s passing at this late stage. Lenny was always kind to me, and I have only fond memories of him. I offer my sincerest condolences to his family. Nick

Lennie was a new kid in the Comp the same year as I arrived.He was quiet but had a great sense of fun and dare I say devilment about him. He tried to teach me the piano but knew from early on that he didnt have a maestro on hand. The Comp was enriched by his presence. Rest in Peace now Lennie

Very sorry to hear of Leonard Sheirdan’s passing. We had a terrific brass and reed band in Ballinrobe in the 60’s, every one of us taught to read music by Leonard. He left a lasting legacy in our town. Rest in peace Leonard.
