Deepest sympathy to the O'Shea family on the passing of Les. I worked with Les in Irish Life for many years and every single day going into work, he would light up your day with the greatest smile, the craic and the banter. We used have great banter over Dublin V Donegal especially on Saturdays when it would be so quiet and we could chat for half an hour or more without interruption.
I was so sorry to learn today of Les' passing. He will always be a young soul, with his white shirt and tie and contagious smile in my mind and every time Donegal play Dublin in the future, I will remember Les with such fondness.
Rest easy Les, you were missed when you retired and you are missed so much more now.
Thank you for the memories

As a kid and teen i have vivid memories of Les being on the sideline in Bridgefield and away games supporting my football team as we moved from middle to top rank of juvenile Dublin Gaa scene. Deepest condolences to the O'Shea family les was great company when we worked in Irish life.he was very well versed in all sports.he lived life to the fullest.
Deepest sympathy to the O Shea family on the sad passing of Les, one of Malahide's greatest ever gentlemen and characters. He had a unique sense of humour, was extremely well read and informed on the issues of the day and anyone daring to start a debate with him on any issue or topic needed to have all their facts and figures well marshalled in advance. I feel sure that God is about to get some good advice shortly from Les, accompanied by his often used saying "sure I'm only trying to help ya'! God speed Les, thanks so much for all the great chats that we had in the Club.
We are saddened to hear of Les's passing . Les worked tirelessly for St Sylvester's GAA club during the 80s and 90s. He coached and supported under age teams . His willingness to assist in coaching will be missed by all former players and members from those decades As a well known Malahide man, He had time for everybody and always up for a chat . May Les Rest in Peace .
Deepest sympathy to Les's family on the passing of a proud Malahide man. He was a great family friend and a huge part of the cricket club and St Sylvester's down the years. May he rest in peace.
Have nothing but positive things to say about Les. Over the years he often went out of his way to chat / catch up and offer advice from football to life. Rest in peace Les, condolences to the family.

Sad news this. Les will be remembered for his wonderful (and very unique) sense of humour. He was fun to be around in the club, and we will miss him there. He was also very dedicated to, and proud of, his community. Les worked tirelessly for the GAA and Cricket clubs - coaching players – fundraising – maintaining pitches – supporting the clubs - and enhancing facilities. He did this selflessly for decades, and for generations of players. The existence of the GAA clubhouse on Church Road, together with our current playing facilities are testament to his persistent and lifelong contribution. For those of us who knew him since the 1980s, we could see beyond his good humour and witness his massive loyalty to our community. Today is a sad day because we have lost a legend and a giant of a man. They don’t come much finer than Les, and we wish him every happiness as he takes his deserved place in Heaven
Deepest sympathies to the O'Shea family on the passing of Les.
