Lia was a fabulous neighbour & very caring to our Dad in his latter years. As neighbouring farmers, help was always on hand & we always enjoyed Lia's fabulous cooking and baking skills. Our condolences especially to Martine & Patrick who we know from our teenage years growing up together.

Our condolence to the Verhurst family, extended family relatives friends neighbours on the passing of a wonderful lady, may she rest in peace with her dear husband.

Our sincere condolences to Lia’s family. We will always remember Aunt Lia as a genuine person who was ready to support others with advice and help. We are still grateful for the warm welcomes we received whenever we visited the farm. We will cherish the many beautiful memories.

Martine Patrick Anita And Ronan, I was very sad to hear of the passing of your mom, grandmother Lia. She was an absolute lady. Every time I came home from the USA she would give me a lovely welcome when I would visit. I was greeted by three little barking Pomeranians. She made coffee from freshly crushed coffee beans and lovely dark Belgium chocolate. I am so glad I went to visit her when I was home last. It was a cherished visit. She was a wonderful gentle woman and she worked very hard but loved it. May she rest in Peace. I will miss her.

Lia has being the true salt of the earth and a bright light ,which continues to shines through - uncountable good deeds ,over the last thirty years, that has helped to shape the future of the Carolan family and continues to do so.

We lost our own mother at a young age and Lia love and humility to everyone when she became part of our family, will echo into eternity and is not forgotten.
