Our deepest condolences to Marcin and all Liam’s family at this sad time. Remembering the warmth of the welcome and the long chats. Forever hugs!
My dear friend Liam. He taught me so much about empathy, compassion and love. He always saw who I was and listened intently, offering wisdoms that began as seemingly meandering thoughts but that ultimately ended with a punch of something meaningful and insightful. Now to solve problems I will have to ask myself ‘What would Liam say?’ and wait for his responses. There is a Liam shaped hole in my life now forevermore but yet there isn’t. He is so present within me and his influence on my life was such that he’ll always be here even if there will be no more long teas in Simon’s Café, no more walks around town that took two hours because of all the people he’d meet and chat to, always an authentic compliment and a kind word for everyone. No more endless circling the perimeter of the Iveagh Gardens, through the wooded area as he liked to go, chatting all the way until our legs were sore with walking. No more theatre visits after which we would give out about everything before finishing up agreeing it was actually brilliant. Liam directed me as Ophelia in a scene from Hamlet, he had the actor playing Hamlet doing a handstand through the entire scene. It was unforgettable! I directed Liam in a play in the Focus Theatre, there were a couple of lines that he perpetually forgot but the ones he replaced them with always worked. I never had as much fun as when I was in Liam’s company. I always felt better after spending time with him. His spirit and positivity were infectious and as I write this I feel him not allowing me to be sad about his passing but rather grateful to have been on life's adventures with him the last fifteen years. Whatever adventure he’s on now I know he is looking after everyone and laughing his big beautiful laugh. Hugs. Andrea

My deepest and heartfelt sympathy to Liam's family on his death. May he Rest in Peace. I met Liam at an Arts event some years ago, and found him very helpful and great company. Take care. Kindest Regards Ann
I had several encounters with Liam over the last number of years. Most of them connected with shows I had done that he was good enough to attend, stick around after and offer his good will and insights. Liam was a gentleman, but most definitely the best of craic and Dublin's theatre community will miss him. Rest in Peace, Dear Liam.
