My thoughts are with my whole Burns family. Liam was so much more than an uncle to me, like my sisters Christine and fiona,Liam was my brother. He had a habit of putting ny head in the sink in Rathmines and the water was always freezing!! He found it very funny!!
I also remember the music, dancing the Hucklebuck, laughter and his great love for his motorbike.
It was the first thing i would look for when we arrived in the house. He would give me a ten shilling note, he made me feel like a millionaire.
Liam will always be in my heart and i enjoy telling my children and grandchildren what a wonderful man he has been to me.

I wish to pass on to Mary, John, Paula Robert and their extended family my sincere condolences on the passing of Uncle Liam. Liam in my life was the coolest "Uncle" ever. We weren't really allowed to call him uncle he was more like an older brother to me and my brother and sisters. We travelled from the north to Dublin every six weeks as children, excited to see our Granda Barney, Patricia and Liam, records being played on the record player hundreds of single from every group or singer's from the '60's and early '70's. Us all dancing in the living room with Liam's endless encouragement. The laughter in that home still rings in my ears. His wonderful motorbike, under strict instructions we were only allowed to sit on. Visit's to our house, walks up the town when we were bought toys. Everyone should have an "Uncle" Liam
Our deepest condolences to Robbie, Mel, Sean and all the Burns family on the passing of Liam. May he rest in peace.
Liam was my uncle but thats not how i saw him. He was my brother, i pestered him when i was a child when he heard "Bups of tea Liam" he would want to run but he sat and had tea parties from tiny cups. Not many teenagers would do that. I loved and will always will love Liam. He will for ever be in my life and heart
So sorry for your loss x
