Dear Pearl and Family, I would like to extend my condolences on behalf of my Father and myself. My Father was in the judo with Liam for many years and even now his name arises in conversations. I remember Liam sending a postcard to my Father from Munich in 1972 when he was at the Olympics. The last time we met Liam was in his shop around the year 2000 when as always he gave my Dad a big bag of meat. Liam was always generous, funny, kind and good humoured. And a great fighter on the mat. RIP Liam 🙏🙏🙏

I knew Liam through my uncle. As a young teenager with no car, Liam would drive me to and from Bodenstown on a Saturday morning so i could play golf. An absolute gent of a man. Never a dull journey with some of the stories hed share from the butcher shop! A really top man. Will be sadly missed by all. RIP Liam 🙏
