A good friend to the hotel passed away earlier this week.

Liam of "Liam & Bernie" fame was a carvery regular in our Roco's restaurant.
A man with a great sense of humour, he was always available with a subtle quip and a one liner.

Dining with his loving wife Bernie most days of the week, he was regularly joined by his family in their reserved tables in the restaurant.
Bernie, Liam's daughters, extended family and close friends must be devastated by his passing.

On behalf of the management and staff at the RPH, we want to pass on our heartfelt condolences.

For me and indeed Barry (who had met him as a school boy from Farranferris school going into “McSweeny’s”to get his camera fixed )your dad was a gentleman to the very end , a very talented man right across the board with his many accomplishments and always a delight to spend time with he was so informed on a wide range of topics. Both Barry and himself could chat for hours, enjoying each other’s company.

We absolutely adored Liam and enjoyed so much our time with him at the Togher Gospel Choir. From the choirs very first meeting to its eventual conclusion many years later, we were privileged to enjoy his company and leadership as he patiently taught us so many beautiful gospel songs. Liam brought joy to our lives and to those who enjoyed the gospel singing at Saturday masses in Togher.
