I am pleased we had a chance to say good bye in person over Christmas. Liam fought and laughed til the end. Sad to hear of Liam's passing. My sympathies to Anna and all the Hannigan family. He was a true friend and such a part of boating on the river shannon here in Banagher. Liam was always willing to help the novice boat owner. He helped them to navigate the currents and to moor up without loosing face. He was one of a kind. Such a warrior in the face of his long illness. He was an inspiration, never complained, He just got on with it. Sunny side up. Liam will be sadly missed. May he rest in peace.
