To lovely Liam, who loved his jumpers, who sat with us on the carpet, cross-legged watching Tom & Jerry saying “wait for this now!”, for your famous Liam lunches with cheese and nuts and grapes and apple slices (which I now do for my kids), for the hours you spent with us up on the balcony in Kensington playing with Smurfs & watching our dress up shows, for the extra treats on Saturdays when you did your ritual of defrosting the freezer and then years later, when we lived and studied in Dublin, for all the gentle chats and advice you gave.
You were BORN to be a father - rest in peace Liam. You made the world lovelier by being in it. Thank you for being such a lovely part of my childhood. The gentlest, yet funniest of souls
