I worked with Liam in the ESB, he was a joy to know and a gentleman, and always kept in contact after I retired and was always in good spirits. He always included Liz in all our conversations she meant so much to him. Can’t believe he’s gone I will miss you my dear friend RIP

Devastated to hear of the passing of Liam. I will miss him and the lengthy David Bowie record collector conversations we used to have anytime I was in ESB Head Office.

Dear Liz,

We are so sorry to hear about Liam's passing. Annabelle loved visiting with you, Liam and Holly and would always say hello when we were out in the garden and kick up a conversation.

I was delighted that one of the last memories is of your wedding before lockdown, we had a great night and I will always remember how happy you both were that day.

I remember our last visit during lockdown when Annabelle came to see you all and she was upset that she couldn't see you more.

I wish we had made another trip in recent times.

Although I did not know Liam, by reading all the condolence messages posted here, I have gained a lovely impression of him as a person with a great sense of humour & a good heart. My grandmother used to tell me 'only the good die young ' and this adage sees applicable in this situation.

We are still reeling from the shock. Our deepest sympathies and condolences to you Liz and your family and also to Liam's family. His love of music, especially Bowie, his rants against the government . I enjoyed reading them more than the RTE app on my phone. His love for you Liz, oh it knew no borders, and he made it known to everyone he met ( although you could already see it when he looked at you). It is a huge loss to all of us that were lucky to have known him but even more so to you Liz. We wish you all strength in these sad and difficult days ahead and we will remember you all in our prayers.

So sorry to hear of Liam's passing.
We had many chats about music and football while we worked together in ESB. A big Bowie fan and so very conversant on both Dylan and Bowie.
Moreover Liam was just a lovely work colleague to work with. A chip off the old block (Billy), with whom I worked with before Liam.
