My sincere condolences to the family of a man I regarded as a friend. Liam work with my father Joe Jennings ‘back in the day’ but always remained a close friend and confident of the family. He often had some funny and legendary stories to tell, some about my father! We will miss him. May he Rest in Peace.
I am so sorry to hear of Liam's passing. He was a truly lovely man....when he worked for our father Joe Jennings in the 1960s he was always so kind to me and my many siblings....ice cream cones were especially treasured. My mother Anne Jennings passed away on the 8th of February....Anne would have been so sad to hear this news. Please accept the sincere condolences of the Jennings family.
I'm truly sorry for the Marren family on the loss of Liam. He was a colleague and great friend of my father’s and always a warm presence in our young lives.
I fondly remember his visits in later life to Roebuck Hill entrancing us with his stories and laughter.
Very sorry to hear of the passing of Liam and condolences to all his family. I knew Liam through business and through Handball. He was a generous, thoughtful and considerate gentleman and we always looked forward to the dinner at Christmas time with him and his business colleagues. He was a tremendous worker and supporter of handball and was part of the committee that built the Croke Park Handball Centre in 1971 for the World Campionships and he later supported our committees efforts to get a new replacement Community & Handball Centre which has now been built adjacent to the Cusack Stand.

Deepest sympathy to Ena and family and extended Marren family on the sad passing of Liam.
As a younger cousin I was very much in awe of Liam for his achievements both on and off the football field. Not without reason as the young men of the 1958 senior championship winning team to this day hold a great status in the annals Coolaney/Mullinabreena football folklore.
Having moved East many years ago Liam never forgot his roots and generously supported Coolaney/Mullinabreena on a continual basis.
I can see from the huge number of tributes that Liam in later life never lost his charisma and good nature.Through the many facets of his life people felt the better of having met him.
Liam will be sadly missed and very fondly remembered.
May his gentle soul rest in peace.

So sorry to hear about Liam's passing. Our Deepest Sympathy to Ena,Yvonne,Niamh,Emer and Padraic.I have great memories of meeting Liam in Carrowmore in 1961 when I was 8 years old, he was charismatic and to be in his company was always fun.
He had a great friendship with my Aunt Nora and in his early teenage years honed his acting skills by performing the Latin Mass at her kitchen table in the thatched house down the lane, progressing on to acting scenes from JB Kane's Sive using the dresser as a prop. We were sad to see him "emigrate" to Dublin in the early sixties, but he always visited when on holidays with great stories from the city. We are all the better from knowing him.May he Rest in Peace.
