I’m so sorry to hear of Liam’s passing. He was always a courteous, helpful colleague who shared his vast knowledge and experience generously in ESB. Later in retirement I had the benefit and pleasure of his great company on the many walks he led. My sincere sympathy to Nora and all the family. May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Sincere sympathy to the O'Donnell family on the loss of Liam. I worked with Liam in Power Contracting and Trading and have great memories of him. Teatime stories were legendary. Thinking of you all at this sad time.
Comhbhrón ó chroí libh. Go raibh suaimhneas síoraí ag Liam.
Bhí an bhrón orm nuair a chuala mé an nuacht go fuair Liam bás. Bhí aithne agam ar Liam agus Nóra ón an Ciorcal cómhrá Gaeilge i béar Cill Mochuda na Chrócaigh sé nó seacht bliain anois. Bhí a lán cómhrá iontach agam le Liam i rith an am sin.
Comhbhrón do Nóra, Deaglán agus an chlann go léir ar bás Liam. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam dílis.

I was very sorry to hear about liam’s passing. I just wanted to share how much I appreciated the time I spent with him. Whenever I was in his home caring for Nora, he was always so kind and welcoming to me.
I will always remember the stories he told about his travels, and how he would sing before his meals, it brought such warmth to the house. He even taught me a little bit of Irish, which meant a lot to me. I know how much he loved his walks in the park on sunny days, his travels around the world with Nora, and the Irish language he spoke about them with such passion.
He truly helped me feel less homesick, and I am very grateful for that. Walking into the house this weekend, I really felt his absence and it made me very sad. He will be deeply missed.
