Rest in Peace Liam, You shared timeless moments of great sport, music, song and friendship with us all, now treasured memories. As I was approaching my teens a little while back, I recall Liam playing on Downey's Field in front of Downey's Shop in Urhan on the Beara Peninsula, he played with style and class and so too was his sporting attire, Kenmare, O'Donovan Rossa and Urhan organised summer Junior Football Tournaments between them during the 1960's, Mighty Day's with the late John O'Donovan, Bridge St, Saddler, Publican and Hackney Driver providing transport in his Minibus. There will be many of your Pals up above sharing a welcome for you to the Great Pitch in Paradise.

I have fond memories of playing with Liam, as well as Sean, when we were about six years old, more than 80 years ago. At that time, we were three sets of cousins, Liam, Sean and Joe O’Rourke, Stella and John Cornish, and Colin, Mary and myself, Tim Mcgarrigle, sharing our early childhood for four years during WW2, long ago and far away.
