Sincere condolences on Liam's passing to all of his family. Others have said most of what needs to be said here in terms of his personal qualities, but in my experience with Liam over the years through his time in Aljeff and later Saoirse, not alone was he responsible for touching the level of people in distress, he was also a fantastic mentor and role model for many students, who I have little doubt will be eternally grateful to him for his insights and humanity. May he rest in peace and may his memory be a blessing to you all

I did not know Liam personally, but listening to and speaking with his sisters I know he was a lovely and much loved gentleman. My sincerest condolences to all his family and friends at this sad time

Its with deep sadness that i write this tonight. I met Liam over 18yrs ago when a family member worked with Liam in Bushy Park. First impression was he looked fair cross and very strict. Over the next month of chats, tears and laughter i wanted to take him home when our time came to part ways .He was so caring ,had a way with words .... little said a lot and was definitely no fool .

To say we owe him a lot is an understatement. When i seen his request for a private funeral , I thought So Liam! but he would have filled the church two times over if he hadn't .

I was so sad to read the obituary notice for my good friend, Liam Ryan.
I have known Liam since the early days of Aljeff and then to Saoirse, and he was a friend, colleague, mentor and a caring gentleman. I wish to thank him for his care and advice to me, and countless of others, and I will miss him.
