Liam followed my entire sporting career and always discussed it / enquired how I was with my own Dad, who Liam knew from their own hurling days with Mallow. Was so sorry to hear the sad news. the sad passing of Liam. I have known him since we trained together for the U.16 hurlers in early 1955, and went on
to win the N.Cork Championship that year.Four of that team stayed together and became members of the squad that
won the Intermediate hurling County Championship in 1959.Liam ,being the best of us ,played on the Final team,and
was the youngest player. Kay,I know you will miss him ,but so will I, after all these years as a friend, a clubman,and a
Mallow man.There has to be hurling matches in Heaven tonight, and he is sure to be a Captain. Ar dheis lamh De go

I wish to pass on my sympathy to Ronan and to all the Sheehan family on the death of Liam. I often had great chats with him in the graveyard in Mallow. I enjoyed meeting him and found him very interesting and informative. We had long chats about hurling and football and the closure of Mallow Sugar factory etc. My mother loved shopping at the vegetable shop and he would always give her a great welcome. I will miss him very much but I know his good and kind deeds went with him and he is now resting in the gentle and loving arms of Jesus. 🙏🙏🌹🌹🌹 Donal Roberts
