Sincere condolence to William, Bridget,Mary and Michael and the extended families. Liam was one of my best friends over many years. We had some wonderful conversations by phone up to three or four times every week for the last ten years. Liam was a wonderful friend, Rest in peace Liam, I will always think of you and our wonderful chats.

When I met Liam for the first time in UCD 1964, I discovered he was was from Ballygarret, my mother's home parish. Some names in the condolences are my, now distant, cousins. I'm originally from Laois. We graduated together in 1969 but rarely met in the interim, but I am glad that we were in phone contact, a number of times, in the last two years. Rest in Peace Liam!
