Liam Smyth

We wish to express our sincere condolences to the Symth family and to the wife and children
of Liam and to Tommy Padraig all the Symths and extended family on both sides on the very sad and untimely passing of Liam. We met them many years ago at NUIG outside the Reading Room where they were inseparable as a family
excellent sportsmen and in particular water polo which they enjoyed in Leisureland.
They all had a headful of ideas and were so confident and family togetherness family loyalty and unity was particularly noticeable as well as being extremely down to earth. No one would hold these guys back. They were so blessed with strength. I was very pleased when I learned of their huge success in business as you couldn't meet nicer and possibly smarter in NUIG. Liam was very gentle and may be rest in peace. Time is a thief very sadly.

I'm so deeply sorry to have heard of the sad passing of Liam. I didn't realise that he had been ill. My heartfelt condolences to you Anne, the five boys and all of the Smyth family. Keeping you all in my thoughts and prayers. May he rest in peace.

I was so saddened to hear of the passing of Liam. A true gentleman who had a kind word for everyone. To his wife Ann, his boys & to the extended Smyth family, my sincere condolences.

I am so sorry to hear about Liam's passing; we were part of a group of great friends as youngsters, socializing, having great fun, wending our way back in the wee hours to Brookhill to steady ourselves with gallons of tea and cakes of brown bread before break of dawn; when time seemed unlimited, and the world lay before us for the taking.
To his family I can only confirm what they already know, that he was just a wonderful person, funny,  bright, and à good friend; and that even if he has been taken too young, long before his time, that they are his great legacy.
