Ciaran, I was so sorry to learn of your beloved father’s passing. It’s a massive wrench and I know how lovingly and supportively you abs your family cared for him. It hasn’t been an easy road as I know only too well, but you have been remarkable in seeing the positive and beauty in such dark times. Be gentle with yourself and remember his spirit lives on. I recall all the Doody cousins of a Sunday racing down the hill past Liam and Lily's house on the bikes and Liam shouting at us all to mind ourselves and go easy before one of us hurt ourselves, we never did! I also remember great craic when the Dubs would be playing and Liam would stick up the Dublin flag in the garden and on occasion the flag would go "missing"!
May Liam rest now in the arms of Our Lord and may you all find peace with your own special memories of a lovely man.

Lily, Marie and Ciarán, sending you so much love in this time of grief for the loss of Liam. This is such a beautiful photograph of Liam, and how I remember him. His warm smile and kind words and his love and mastery in the garden and always the supportive uncle. When I did my final year Thesis on the printing industry, Liam was such a help and its something I know he was always proud of and often spoke of. He was such a kind and caring uncle and Christmas was always special when he would get out the old slides and do a slide show and sing us a tune. Its a sad time and a blessing for Liam to rest in peace. Thinking of you all and will be with you online tonight from New Zealand. With love and grace for Liam and each of you. Love Oonagh
