I'm deeply saddened to hear of dear Liam's passing.

We used to have the best craic on the bus when he was dropping us to swimming or taking us on our school tours. He had the patience of a saint to be putting up with us jig-acting and singing non-stop. And we would always know that the summer had landed when he would show up in his sunglasses and rolled-up or short sleeved shirts.

Liam was a gentleman and, while he'll be greatly missed, when I'm reminded of him, it will always bring a smile to my face.

To Philip, Mark and your families, I hope the memories we share with you during this sad time will brighten up your days, just like your Dad did for all of us growing up.

May his gentle soul rest in peace.

Sincere condolences to all the Tierney families on the sad passing of Liam.I had the pleasure of fishing with Liam and a lovely man to be in a boat with on Lough Corrib.I have a great memory of fishing with Liam during the lambing season.He took us in to castletown so he could go in and check the sheep.What a magic place it was with daffodils in full bloom.
