Our heartfelt condolences to Alexandra, Valerie, Patrick and Fionula, her sisters Doris, Marion, Ann and Gretta. Her brothers John and Jimmy and all the extended Murphy & Scanlan Families.

We were so sad to hear that your precious Lilian passed away. The Murphy’s were lifelong friends of our own Dear Mother Mary, whose Month’s Mind Mass will be in Newcastle Church, Friday 5th January. We will remember Lilian.

Our Mother always spoke fondly of her childhood friends the Murphys in the ‘Greyhound Bar’. She and Lilian often met and reminisced about life in Church St., & her cherished friend Doris.
Only very recently she said ‘Oh Mrs. Murphy was lovely, when she went to Limerick, she never forgot me she always brought me back something,’
When it was her 75th birthday Lilian brought her a really beautiful bouquet in a basket, I think from her & Doris.
Lilian was always smiling & beautifully spoken. She often asked our cousin Liz ‘How is Mary Walker?’

We are so sorry and share our lovely memories with you at this very sad & lonely time in our lives, our beloved parents no longer with us. The lights of Newcastle West have become less bright in recent times, but we will never forget.

We hope that they are at peace, all together safe & happy in the arms of the Angels.

May your Dear Mother Lilian Rest in Peace along with our own Dear Mother Mary and all who have gone before them.
