I was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Lillie. I was privileged to know her from a very young age at St Martin’s school and remember her as a delightful, kind and caring girl who left a lasting impression.

Words are not enough at this very sad time but please know that I am thinking of you; Christine, Mark, William and Conor and holding you in my thoughts.

A beautiful service for Lillie. She was clearly very much loved and cherished by so many and although I didn’t know her personally I was moved and inspired by hearing about what she achieved in her life from the many eulogies. I will make a point of reading her books. Sending love to all of you left behind. xx

We feel blessed to have known Lillie and to have spent time with her. I was fortunate to have met Lillian through my work at Deanta. Often, when I visited, the office would be busy and most had their heads down in their work, but Lillian always met me with her wonderful smile and found time to talk. Lillian’s enormous achievement writing a book inspired me to start my own, and I am only sorry that she will not be around to share thoughts on the process, I know she had more ideas for a second. My deepest condolences to her husband Conor and to her family and friends.
