Lillian and I were colleagues and she always had a listening hear, was full of fun and shared her knowledge, expertise and wisdom freely.

Stephanie, I was so sad to hear of your Mum’s passing. My heart goes out to you at this difficult time I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. My deepest condolences to you and your family.

I am so saddened to hear of the passing of Lillian. I worked with her in the NCH in Tallaght and remember her as an honest, professional and fun loving colleague. Always seeking to help others along the way. My sincere condolences to Declan, Stephanie and Keith, and extended family and friends. I hope the memories you shared with Lillian will carry you through these difficult days.

I’m so sorry for your loss. It seems like only yesterday I was congratulating Lillian on her retirement and the start of a new chapter in her life. She was a fine example of organized integrity & will be missed by all who knew her.

Our paths crossed many years ago when we did a course together - and, to my delight, we reconnected earlier this year when we were part of the Walk While You Can group, planning to walk the Camino in June 2024. Unfortunately, Lillian had to pull out of the trip but I so hoped we would get to do it together again in the future. So sad that this won’t happen.

I was away over Christmas and am really sorry to hear about Lilian’s death - what a shock to everyone who knew her. She was one of the kindest persons I ever met and her sense of humour was really infectious. She will be missed by so many especially Declan, Keith and Steph but also her wide collection of friends from her different areas of her working life.

Condolences to Declan and family on the death of Lillian. I was a class mate of Declans in OCS class of 1972 and worked with Lillian for many years in pursuit of Equality for people with disabilities. May she rest in peace.

Lillian, you were always a breath of fresh air, thinking & caring always of others. A very big light has gone out in the Universe. To Dear Declan, we are broken for you. We still have fond memories of the afternoon/evening in your garden with beautiful sunshine back in September and Lillian full of the joys as we shared a lot of laughter
Little did we know then the hugs we shared with Lillian would be our last. Keith she loved the holiday u all shared in Prai DaLuz Portugal, in fact we had a good giggle about that. Steph Lillian would always say how good a job you were doing with her Grandchildren. Declan you were her rock. From the first day we met we all hit it off and shared plenty stories. Lillian I will miss you hugely as you were a great support to me in some dark days and our hearts are very heavy today. Our deepest condolences, Rest now in peace my Pal Lillian. Yvonne

Dear Declan and family, we are shocked and so sad to learn that we have lost Lillian. We have fond memories of very happy times with both of you in Estrela Da Luz, where not everyone knew of Lillian's other life, of making a difference for so many people in her various professional roles, always working for others. In our holiday world, Lillian brought warmth, good humour and craic. She had a gift for making everyone feel special and included. We will treasure that time, and the memories. It was always such a pleasure to spend time with Lillian, her personality and love of life and family shone through. Grateful for the laughs, the giggles, the stories and fun we shared. It was always a pleasure to spend time with Lil, her personality, beaming smile and love of life not only shone brightly, but was infectious for all around her. She was one of life's true characters.
For her support, advice and personal time she gave to the children's projects during her time as CEO of the National Children's Hospital Foundation in TUH. She will be greatly missed, fondly remembered and never forgotten.

I am heartbroken by the loss of Lillian, who was one of the most incredible people I have ever had the pleasure of working with. As CEO of the IMNDA, she worked tirelessly to improve the organisation and deliver for the people living with MND across the country. She was also an incredible mentor and friend. Lillian spent her entire career helping other people in her various roles, and never sought thanks or favour. Her motivation was always based on how she could help. Our job now is to honour that legacy. My deepest sympathies to her husband Declan, daughter Samantha, son Keith, her beloved grandchildren Bobby and Lilly, and the extended McGovern family.
