I was shocked to hear about Lily RIP. It must be almost 40 years since I met Lily and for some strange reason she crossed my mind a few weeks ago. I interviewed Lily for the Receptionist position in Stafford-Miller – which must have been her first job. Those were days of high unemployment, and we had scores of applicants. I was immediately struck by her composure and presence for such a young girl just out of the education system. She was head and shoulders above the rest, so the decision was easy. She worked for us for a short period before moving on to pastures new. We subsequently lost contact, but I remember her as a real lady and a lovely person who was greatly missed when she left. Deepest sympathies to her husband and all the family.

I was so sorry to hear the very sad news of Lily’s passing and I wish to offer my deepest sympathies to the Rowe and Hannigan families. I have such lovely memories of Lily in Wexford Golf Club.
