So sorry to hear of Lola passing, I always have fond memories of Lola , from as far back as when I was a little girl, Lola and aunt Lil and Ken, when I got older, calling over to aunt Lil's and Lola seating on the couch and we would have a chat, and a coffee happy times, I always loved Lola smile. My deepest sympathies to Noel ,Keith , Amanda may she rest in peace love Phil

So sorry to hear of your beloved Lola's passing, you all must be broken hearted. Only spent a week in Lolas company in the Mater last August. She was a joy. We were to met up but it never happened. May she rest in peace.

My deepest condolences to Noel, Keith and Amanda for the loss of such a nurturing, kind and loving person. Lola always treated me like family, often calling me her "American boy." I will always cherish the moments we shared. There was lots of joy and laughter. And even with the distance, I always felt the same closeness to her over the years. She was truly one of a kind, and I am so grateful for my Irish mam. My love to the family.

On behalf of Leinster Table Tennis, we're very sorry to hear of the death of our former Chair and long time Committee stalwart Lola. Thousands of kids benefited from her volunteer work at tournaments alone, never mind all the other time and effort put into the Branch and the Special Olympics. The patience of a saint! Noel, Amanda and Keith it was a shock to hear that Lola has been called to higher service. A true neighbour and friend to so many people. My daughters loved calling over at Halloween as Lola had little bags ready for all the children and she knew everyone by name. Lola always had time for a chat and was a great listener. May she be welcomed home with open arms. You are all in my thoughts and pryers at this time.

Noel was our Milkman for over thirty years since we came to Whitehall. He gave a great service backed up by Lola who was always at the end of the phone if any change to the order. It wasn't always about the milk, Lola always made time to chat and enquire for the family.

It is with great sadness to hear the passing of Lola. She was a second mam to me and I will always cherish the memories that we made and shared together. I always went over to visit and when I wasn’t having a good day she would always just cheer me up with her soft touch and presence. She helped me so much through school and college. She called me her third grandchild and I will be so grateful that she was part of my life. I got my college results and she would of been forever proud of me. I will miss you her so much but I know she will always be looking down on me. Goodbye Lola until we meet again in a heavenly home.

So long old friend. You very definitely are one of the "Good" people. You leave a beautiful legacy of love, friendship, trust, kindness and fairness. It is a privilege to be called your friend. It was a privilege to work alongside you for so many years developing junior table tennis, not just in technical skills but in personal development. Culminating in what was the adventure of the Special Olympics World Games in Dublin 2003 in which you played such a crucial role. You can certainly answer YES to the Almighty's question, "Did your life make a difference?" St.John of the Cross says that at the end of our days we will be judged on our Love, in which case you will certainly be given a free pass! May your gentle soul rest peacefully in the loving arms of God.
