I was so sorry to hear of Lorraine's passing. I worked with her many years ago in Merlin. A fabulous nurse, so good and kind to the patients. She spoke so highly of you all and your achievements. We first met Loraine in unit 1 Merlin park and when she realised we were Reynolds from Leitrim, she quickly made herself known to us and would always get us in as quick as possible as we had such a long trek! I have some great memories of her, which always had lots of laughter, she would light up any room with her big smile & warm heart❤️I'm shocked that I only knew of her passing today & saddened that I missed her funeral. We shared lots of walks & we loved the catch-up while you were training. May God give you all the strength to get you through the weeks & months ahead. Life can be so cruel, you had a wonderful Mother. May Loraine have the softest bed in heaven & watch over you all from her new home❤️

I am very saddened to hear of the sad passing of Lorraine 🙏🏻I met her for the first time in the Meath Hospital many moons ago as a young student nurse and showed her around the wards and took her under my wing 🙏🏻She was so bubbly,so beautiful, and always smiling . She will be a huge loss to her dear family and I’ll keep her in my thoughts and prayers always .Sincere Condolences to her children she spoke so highly of when I met her years later in Merlin Park 🙏🏻Life is very fragile 🙏🏻❤️Rip.

I first met Loraine in 1985 when we worked together on nightduty on a busy medical ward in Merlin Park Hospital. I was a young student nurse not used to nightduty, and had only started my training about 6 months earlier. I had a lot to learn. I was mesmerised at the whirlwind that was Loraine. There was a great sparkle to her. She was not that long qualified herself, down from Dublin, and I sure learned a lot from her on those busy nights. I really looked up to her and admired her. She was so nice, so helpful and kind to me. I worked with her many times since over the years in different units. Her lovely demeanor never left her. Heartfelt sympathy to you all on the passing of your dear mom and sister, Loraine. May she rest in the deepest peace.

It was with a lot of sadness upon hearing of the passing of dear Loraine. I had the pleasure of meeting her back in the early 1980's through a good friend, they met as trainee nurses in the Meath Hospital. She was always friendly and smiling, always heart warming and great fun to be with on a night out. My abiding and cherished memories of Loraine are from a year lived in New York 1986. My deepest sympathies to her children, her sister Cerenna and her brother Roger and extended families and many friends and work colleagues. May her gentle and kind and generous soul rest in peace.

I was so sorry to hear about Loraine's death. May she rest in heavenly peace. Great memories when you were all young down in the Killannin pitch with her, training for community games and GAA. She was a wonderful mum who pulled out all the stops for her community and especially her children and was always so proud of you all.
