Shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of Lorcan. So many fond memories of shows and operas together since 1989. RIP

Cathal, I’m very sorry to hear of the passing of your brother. May Lorcan rest in peace.

I'm so sorry to hear this sad news. Lorcan was a distinctive and likeable character, and a valuable member of the IORC Academy Chorus in the late 80s. He boosted The Lough Parish Choir bassline for several memorable years. He was always willing to support a musical project when asked, and he gave his time and skill freely and generously.

Thank you, Lorcan! It was a pleasure to know you, and your memory evokes recollections of exciting musical times and adventures! I know the celestial choir and conductor will be glad to have you now (and you already know much of the repertoire!)

We had the pleasure of singing with him on many different occasions over the past years. He was always so pleasant and friendly.

I am so shocked and saddened to hear of Lorcan’s passing. We worked together on many projects in Irish National Opera and he was always a wonderful, kind and supportive colleague. I enjoyed his company and conversation in the pub after a long rehearsal or successful performance and can’t believe we won’t have the opportunity to do so again. May he rest in peace. ♥️

I was appalled to learn of the sudden death of Lorcan.
He and I sang for several years in the bass line of St Finnbarre's Cathedral Choir
and I kept up our friendship after I retired.
My heart goes out to his family but I am sure that his rich voice will resound
in the choirs celestial.

The O'Byrne family - I'm m so sorry for your loss -Lorcan was always a bit of colour in our conversations over a coffee after the parkrun. Suaimhneas síoraí dá anam.

I was so shocked to hear of Lorcan's untimely passing. I am so sorry for your loss. I met Lorcan first back in 1990 during our I.O.R.C. days. We had great fun in those wonderful shows, he was a true professional. We sang together in both Fleischmann Choir and Musicorum. He loved to sing , always a gentleman. May he rest in peace.

You spoke beautifully about your brother today at the funeral. St. Fin Barre's choir was truly stunning and beautiful. I lost my own brother suddenly at 44, 4 years ago. I know how incredibly hard this is for you and your family. My brother is always with us in our hearts. I have no doubt Lorcan will always be with ye in your hearts also. I knew Lorcan from parkrun in Tramore Valley — a gentle and kind soul who will be fondly remembered. Our more recent post-run coffee chats included plans for Lorcan to come try a trail run with a few of us. He had such positive energy and enthusiasm, he was looking forward to trying something new with friends.
