Very sorry to have recently heard of Lorraine's passing from this earthly garden, may she dwell in harmony and joy in the more beautiful Garden above. She was so encouraging and we all learned so much from her. May God be with all of the Clarke family and all of her friends and relatives at this time, to bring comfort.
Sincere condolences.

When we heard the incredibly sad news of Lorraine’s illness and passing, it was so hard to believe that we wouldn’t see her again in Terenure Tennis Club. Her love of tennis and the chats was always a ray of sunshine to be around, and she was a kind and loving soul, always asking how we were and how the kids were, with genuine interest. She took such great care of the club flower beds and she knew how to take care of the plants as well as the tiny creatures in the soil and passed on her knowledge with a big heart. I’ll always remember Lorraine and I getting drenched out in Bray at a floodlit match, both of us could barely see through the heavy rain! But it didn’t stop us! We’ll miss you greatly Lorraine and all the lovely wonderful things about you. With love,
I am shocked and devastated to hear of this terribly sad news. I had the pleasure of playing tennis with Lorraine, she was so lovely, kind and welcoming to everybody in the club. Lorraine was always so chatty and genuinely interested in everyone. Such a beautiful soul, may she Rest in Peace.

Words cannot express how deeply saddened I am to hear of my dearest friend Lorraine's untimely passing. I have known Lorraine since we first started Low Babies in the Holy Faith The Coombe Primary School and we have been friends since then. We may have lived our lives on the far side of the world but we always kept in touch and been each other's best cheerleader. Lorraine was my inspiration to live life to the fullest extent possible but no one could exceed Lorraine's many pursuits, interests, hobbies, and wide circle of friends. I just count myself lucky to have known and loved Lorraine and I will miss her. My sincerest condolences to Lorraine's friends in Ireland, the UK and also to her family.
Deepest sympathy to the Clarke family on the death of Lorraine. I had the pleasure of working with Lorraine in Ringsend College. She was a lovely colleague - always happy to chat and offer advice to the struggling gardeners among us. The Spring flowers she planted are just now bursting into colour - a poignant reminder of the wonderful contribution she made to our community. May she rest in peace.
Dear Lorraine, she is already so sadly missed here in Ringsend. The garden is in bloom cultivated, and all about us are daffodils. This time of year, she would be in her element. Gone far too soon. All the tutors and students are thinking of her family.

I had the pleasure of playing tennis with Lorraine in both UCD and Terenure Sports Club. We had great laughs together - on and off court. She had so many interests and yet was also so interested in everyone else’s lives. I want to remember Lorraine as she lived her life - full to the brim, dashing around on her bike and running up mountains. I hope she has a tennis racket in one hand and trowel in the other - in that big garden in the sky.
Rest easy Lorraine - you will be greatly missed by your family and wide circle of friends.

Sincere condolences to Lorraine’s brother Vincent & his family. I recall warm memories of Lorraine during her time as Secretary in Sociology in UCD. I last saw Lorraine looking fit and well on 5th October 2022 as I collected a friend on SCR to go to the nch. It was therefore a real shock to hear of her untimely death. Lorraine was truly blessed in her family and friends as testified by her beautiful Funeral Mass this morning. Fr O’Gara’s reflection on Lorraine’s calm approach to end of life was inspiring. The Prayers of the Faithful were so inclusive. The concluding tributes by Vincent and Nicola were heartwarming. Lorraine’s love of horticulture and care for our environment was truly honoured. May we all be so supported on our final journey. Condolences to all who mourn Lorraine. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam dílis.
