I have known Lorraíne for 40 years. Lorraíne was a friend of my sister Elizabeth Kernan. I worked with her in Jersey. She was a waitress with me at a hotel . I have so many lovely memories of her. I remember we laughed so much till I had a pain in my side . She then became a chambermaid and told me so many funny stories about cleaning some of the bedrooms. Im so happy that she was in my life then, because we made those very wonderful memories.Lorraíne was a very generous and happy person and I feel privileged to have known her I am sending my condolences to her family and friends . R.I.P Lorraine 🥰

My Deepest Sympathy to Alison & Daire & her family & friends on the sad loss and sudden death of your Mam Lorraine. May She Rest in Peace. I met her for the first time at the Centra shop in Newcastle West, when she asked me for a lift to Lisan Apartments in Newcastle West two weeks before she died.

There are parents and children all over the country who have not met Lorraine but whose lives have been enhanced thanks to her determined efforts to improve the care and educational facilities available to children with special needs. Lorraine was knowledgeable, thoughtful and determined. She needed to be. Sincere sympathies to Alison, Daire and her family and friends. She was a friend to us but she was also friend to the many. We will miss her. R.I.P. Lorraine, you did good.

I’m so sorry to hear the sudden death of Lorraine . I only got to know her from doing her hair in Newcastle west living in a flat across the road from my salon . She always spoke about her son and daughter . May she rest in peace.

It's hard to believe you're gone, Lorraine. Only 4 weeks ago we were out visiting Daire. I have 30 years of great memories of our friendship; support in times of trouble, fun days out with our kids when they were small, walks out in Skerries and Ardgillen when you came up to Dublin to visit...not to mention trips to IKEA! The lovely Tree Walk in Newcastle West. I'll miss the book recommendations and book swaps. Condolences to Alison, Daire, and all the family. Rest in Peace, Lorraine.
