I am so saddened to hear the news of Lorraine’s passing. I first met Lorraine at the Lucan Art fair where we were both exhibiting and I was immediately taken by her warmth, kind nature and friendliness. I was nervous being new to exhibiting but she was so kind to me and put me at ease.we laughed because I accidentally spilled wine all over my shoe without realising. I liked her from the get go. She was such an incredible artist with a love and passion for art that was so evident it was infectious.On occasion I would seek her advice and she was always happy to take the time to get back to me with her wealth of knowledge. She has certainly imparted a huge piece of herself in her stunningly beautiful art work that will continue to give pleasure to many. My sincere condolences to Lorraine’s son, family and friends. may you take comfort in knowing just how many lives she impacted. ❤️

I am saddened to hear of Lorraine's death. A short few years ago I had the pleasure and privilege of getting to know Lorraine during the production of 'Shelter Me From The Rain', a specially commissioned musical depicting stories from Carlow. Lorraine displayed her musical talent and endeared herself to everyone. I also admired her immense talent as an artist. She will be sadly missed. I extend my deepest sympathy to her son Gavin and her family. May her gentle soul rest in peace.

She was amazingly generous with her skill and knowledge, giving every student 100% attention and inspiring us to be our best selves. She was a wonderful artist and her paintings are pure joy to see.
