My deepest condolences to the families of Louis and Olive on their deaths.
Louis came to work in our section (Nematology) in the early 90s .
I found him, like others, an excellent worker and was ALWAYS obliging to do anything that was asked of him.
I was moved to Teagasc in Carlow in 2006 till i retired in 2021. In that time Louis rang me about 3 times on the land line. We always had a great chat!
My only regret is, that I didn't get to see him before he passed away.

He and Olive were always on our Annual outings frim Kinsealy....he wouldn't miss them "for the world"!

Fortunately, I got to see him and Olive yesterday evening in New Ross before their coffins were closed......forever!

God rest you Louis and Olive.
May both of you Rest in Peace 🙏

I am deeply saddened to receive this news today about Louis & Olive.
My sincere condolences to their family members.
Id like to share some nice memories their family might like to know about them as our neighbours.

For years Louis travelled on the bus each morning with my mam on his way to work in Teagasc & they became great friends until Mam passed away in 2010. They never forgot me after her passing & would check in on me from time to time. They always dropped over with a birthday card to me every single year until I left Corrib Road in 2021. It always had my sisters name inside, but I hadn't the heart to tell them as it was such a lovely gesture & a minor detail for a couple that clearly cared so much.

They volunteered in the Residents association locking the gate in the park morning and evening & never let anyone down
They enjoyed their day trips together to Bray and other places & I often had great chats in the car as I dropped Louis to the Village when he was going shopping alone, which was rare.
A couple that saw a lifetime together & stayed together.

I bet they are with Mam & Mrs Harrison now chatting on a corner like they used to do.
They were lovely people and I will always remember them in that happy way.

Goodnight God bless & Rest in Peace my dear friends. xx
