I am so sorry for the loss of my good friend Louis. We enjoyed so many good times together sailing near and far in foreign lands and of course on Friday nights in Shannon rowing club with Paddy McNamara, Leslie Fergeson, Michael Mc Mahon, Johnny Boyle, Tom Bracken, Manfred Ullimann and more. Then Paddy Mc would drive us all safely home as Louis commented favourably on Paddy's car, almost always particularly attention to the wonderful wipers.
I Regret that I could not be there in person to pay my respects, other than to now offer my sincere condolences to Lisa, Hilary, Mike & Robert at this difficult time. May he rest in peace along with his beloved Joan.

We are so sad to hear of Louis's death. He was such a great friend of my father Leslie Ferguson and we remember him with great fondness. We have such wonderful memories of his friendship with Leslie, Paddy MacNamara, Michael McMahon and many other fellow sailors and friends from Foynes Yacht Club, kilrush Marina and Killaloe. They had so many great trips together and many many funny stories and anecdotes. Louis was great company and very kind to me as a young sailor.
