My sincerest condolences to all of Lou’s family in Ireland and the US.
Lou was a lovely man who took the time to teach a very annoying 5 year old to play chess, educated me about Kasparov v Karpov and took the time to call me years later to discuss moving to America.

I was too young really to understand but I know he had a wicked sense of humour that kept everyone on their toes!

He will be sadly missed, may he Rest In Peace.

Walking into his home on Sunday, without that big hug greeting was so painful as was feeling the sorrow & pain from his adored family. We are in shock that Lou is no longer with us but rejoice that he is with his beloved Dad whom he spoke of so dearly.
