So sorry to hear about Louise's death. I feel like I knew her from all the lovely stories I heard about her from her beloved niece Elaine. She seemed like a truly remarkable and incredibly brave lady. RIP
So sorry to hear of Louise's death. While I knew her for only a short time, I thoroughly enjoyed her contributions to our monthly discussion group. She will be missed.
Sincere sympathy to all the Tobins and extended families on the very sad news of Louise's passing. I've only just seen the death announcement today. Unfortunately due to a hospital appointment on Friday I will be unable to attend the funeral. You will be in my thoughts and prayers at this very sad time. She was a beautiful person. May she Rest in Peace.
To Frank, Rena, Michael, Helen and Jim, I can't even begin to say how sorry I am to hear of Louise's untimely death. Nor can I imagine the pain you and your families are feeling. I'd dearly wish to be there to embrace you all but am unable to travel just now. I will be with you all, (and indeed my own sisters,we all loved Louise, Carmel in particular), on these desolate days in spirit and keeping you in my thoughts and prayers. May the beautiful lady that was Louise rest in peace now.
I am so sorry to hear that Louise has passed away. I have fond memories of her both in her role at Leinster House and then at UCC. She was energetic, enthusiastic, inisightful, interested in others and always great company. I have a Vietnamese friend (it's a small world, as Louise knew) who never failed to recall her kindness to him and others during their time at ENA. My deepest sympathy to her family and may she rest in in peace.
Our deepest sympathy's on the loss of your aunt and sister. We met Louise in San Francisco when she was recruiting students to attend UCC. Our daughter became a full-time law student there thanks to Louise. She graduated this past October and Louise came to spend time with us and Hayfield Manor immediately after the conferring.
Louise has stayed with us in our home in San Francisco and was a wonderful kind hearted woman. We are keeping her family especially her nieces and nephews whom she adored in our thoughts and prayers.
May she rest in peace...
With sincere sympathies to Louise's family, in particular to her beloved nieces and nephews who gave her a great deal of pleasure in her life. Louise was a talented colleague contributing immensely to the International Education Office at UCC. Rest in Peace.
Prof. Irene Lynch Fannon, School of Law, UCC.
Sincere sympathies to the Tobin family, as well as to former colleagues of Louise in Leinster House and UCC. Suaimhneas síoraí go raibh aici.
Deepest sympathy to the Tobin family on the passing of Louise, a woman who offer so much to many especially at UCC.
May She Rest in Peace.
Michael
Dear Lou, I will always remember you. You had all the gifts - intelligence, charm, good looks, a lover of books and good conversation. An evening with you with a joyous occasion. So glad we met for our chat recently. I will hold dear the memories of UCC and French class together. My sympathy to all your family - I know how much you adored them all and they you. Rest easy my friend until we meet again. Love, Annette xx
I was so sorry to hear of Louise's passing. We worked together in LH and holidayed together to the US in the late 80s. I have many happy memories of Louise and we still cherish her wedding gift to us from long ago. Our condolences to the whole family. RIP Louise. Clíona,Brendan and family
